In episode fifty-one of The Running Effect, I speak with Amos Bartelsmeyer. Amos is a German Olympic athlete who is a part of the Bowerman Track Club.
Some of the topics we cover in this episode include:
-How he got his start in the sport of running and his first impressions of the sport
-If he could go back and give his high school self one piece of advice what it would be
-How he balanced DI running with the academic side of Georgetown
-What it's like to train with the best in the sport (including Olympic Champion Matt Centeowitz).
-The biggest lessons he's learned from his teammates
-His reflections on his Olympic experience
-His goals for the rest of the year and what motivates him to chase after these goals
