Chris Robinson is an American hurdler. He was the 2023 NCAA champion over 400 meter hurdles. He was runner-up to Caleb Dean at the 2024 NCAA Championships Outdoor Championships final in June 2024. Later that month, he finished in fourth place overall in the 400 metres hurdles at the USATF Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon.

Brazil’s Alison dos Santos, the 2022 World champion in the 400m hurdles, proved he’s more than just a hurdler by winning the flat 400m at Grand Slam Track Kingston in a close, strategic race. Lining up against a talented field that included Caleb Dean and Chris Robinson of the U.S., dos Santos had to work for this one. Dean got out hard from lane six, while Robinson—last year’s NCAA 400m hurdles runner-up—applied pressure from behind. But dos Santos showed his strength in the final stretch to surge ahead and take the victory. This win, combined with his earlier 400m hurdles triumph on Friday, means dos Santos swept the Men’s Long Hurdles event group and walks away with the $100,000 Slam Champion title at the first Grand Slam Track meet.
