Episode 43 is live and it is one of my favorites! I chat with badass ultra-runner, coach, journalist, and podcaster, Andy Jones-Wilkins aka AJW (10 States finishes with 7 top 10's) and Western States Race Director Craig Thornley, who is not too shabby of a runner himself with 9 States finishes including a few top 10's. We discuss all things Western States Endurance Run. Race history, course preview, Top 10 male and female picks, and a little of both of these awesome gentlemen's stories. Check it out!

Western States 100 race director Craig Thornley joins the show to talk about how the Western States Trail was impacted by the Mosquito Fire, and what it means for one of ultrarunning’s oldest events. The Mosquito Fire, the largest wildfire in California so far this year, burned nearly 77,000 acres, destroyed 78 structures and impacted nearly 16 miles of the Western States course. Stay tuned to learn how you can help the trail recover.
