Sweat Elite - Training Sessions

"We do this to build muscle, but also the mind." - Renato Canova Iten is perched on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, with over 1000m of drop to the valley floor. This 30km run starts at the bottom and winds its way back up to town. It's a beast of a hill, and at altitude as well. This is a tough one! -- -- -- Julien Wanders Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/julien_wanders/ Amanal Petros Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/amanalpetros/ Sweat Elite Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sweatelite/ Filmed and edited by Angus Teeton (Sweat Elite): https://www.instagram.com/angusteeton/ -- -- -- Thank you Members! Join us for the second part of the story.... Renato's special blocks are well known for being tough. 44km of volume; all between 2:55/km and 3:05/km, this one sure as hell was. This video covers the evening session, a 10km in 31min, followed by a brutal track workout: 10x 1000m at 2:50/km. Today's session is primarily for Erik Kiptanui Training for Boston Marathon Renato has chosen courses with slight uphill and downhill sections. This is to prepare for the slightly hillier course at Boston Erik is running 10x 1200m in the second part of this morning's session, while the rest of the group runs 10x 1000m. Both groups at the same pace. After placing 9th at the Tokyo Olympics Triathlon, Max has come to Kenya to focus on running. He has been training with the Julien Wanders group, putting in consistently difficult training while still managing to fit in his swimming and cycling. In preparation for Valencia 10km in early Jan, Max was hoping to run a local 10km in Iten. After a late cancellation, plans were adjusted and we now join him for a 10km Time Trial effort, on a slightly hilly, more than slightly windy, Moiben road. ** Apologies about the blank period at the end - was supposed to be a few minutes of slo-mo video, it seems it didn't export the way we planned ** -- -- -- Sweat Elite Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sweatelite/ Max Studer Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/maxstudertri/ Filmed and edited by Angus Teeton (Sweat Elite): https://www.instagram.com/angusteeton/ -- -- -- Want to see more videos?
