Today on the podcast is one of the greatest talents of our generation, Daniel Simmons!

Daniel is the most successful athlete in Utah's high school boys' running history. He was the 2024 Indoor Track and Field National Champion in the 5000m (NBNI), where he set a new National Record of 13:38; the day before, he led his team to the 4XMile relay anchor National Champions, running the second fastest time ever. Danny won the 2024 Arcadia Invitational 3200m Champion and 4XMile relay (anchor) Champions. He was the BYU Invitational 1600m Champion (new meet and state record),

2024 Utah 6A State Champion 1600m (New State Record 4:01) and 3200m (New State Record 8:36), as well as the 4X800 relay team State Champions.

Daniel has run 1:53 in the 800m, 4:01 in the 1600m at altitude, 8:36 in the 3200m at altitude (8:34 at sea level), and 13:38 in the 5k.

On the grass, Daniel is a 2XUtah 6A State XC Champion (2022, 2023), 2X NXR Southwest XC Champion (2022, 2023) and placed 2nd at NXN in 2022.

Get this, Daniel holds the course record on every course he has run on except the NXN course (Portland) where he has the 2nd fastest course time.

Daniel is also the BACK-TO-BACK Gatorade Boys National Boys POY.

In today's conversation, we go through Danny's past few months of training and racing and how pivotal a role his faith plays. I sincerely loved this conversation and know you'll find benefit from it.
