US Champion Josh Thompson makes his first-ever appearance on The Running Effect Podcast today!

Josh holds PRs of 3:34.77 in the 1500m and 3:52.49 in the Mile.

Josh has a remarkable story from going from JUCO to making World Championship teams for the US, as we discuss in this conversation.

Josh is a two-time World Championship 1500m finalist and has won US titles before.

As an Oklahoma State senior in 2017, he finished 6th in the NCAA Indoor Mile and 4th outdoors in the 1500.

In February 2016, Josh became the first Nevada native to run a Mile in under 4 minutes, clocking 3:58.33 indoors at the University of Washington's Husky Classic.

At Moapa Valley High School, he lead the cross country team to two Nevada state titles as well as winning two 3200m state titles.

In today's conversation, Josh takes me through his career, what it takes to go from "good to great," how he works on tactics, being a dad and how he balances fatherhood with his passion for running, his ambitions for the future, and so much more.

This conversation is a masterclass in distance running. You won't want to miss the opportunity to learn and grow from Josh.
