Writing On Running

This isn’t a running essay

I’ve been working on this piece for nearly a year. I’d write paragraphs, and then stare blankly at the screen, unsure of where it was going. Because grief doesn’t bend to our heart’s intent.

Turns out that I needed to continue living with her memory as my guide.

I hope you enjoy this piece and take some solace in the lessons that I’m attempting to learn.
