EVENT DETAILS: (IN-PERSON RACE)

• 📍 Monocacy Village Park (409 Delaware Road, Frederick, MD 21701)
• 📅 Saturday, December 12, 2026

RACE DAY START TIMES:

• 1 Mile Elf Run: 8:30 AM (30-minute time limit)
• 10K Run: 9:00 AM (2-hour time limit)
• 5K Run: 9:15 AM (1 hour 45-minute time limit)

VIRTUAL RACE RUNNERS:

🏃‍♂️ Run anywhere and anytime between Friday, December 11 at 9:00 AM and Sunday, December 13 at 9:00 PM
 
RACE DAY INFORMATION:

• Same Day Registration:  Saturday only: 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM
• Location: Race Pavilion
• Same Day Registration closes promptly at 8:00 AM
• We strongly recommend registering in advance

PACKET PICK-UP ON RACE DAY:

• ❌ NOT AVAILABLE 
• All packets must be picked up prior to race day 

ADDITIONAL RACE DAY NOTES:

• Dogs are not permitted on the course (except registered service animals)
• Children riding in strollers do not need to be registered
• Walkers must complete their race by 11:00 AM
• Snacks and water will be available at the pavilion
• Porta-potties will be located near the pavilion
• First Aid/AED station with certified personnel on site
• Vendors will be present, please stop by and support them!

PACKET PICK-UP: (IN-PERSON & VIRTUAL)

• 📍 Downtown YMCA, 1000 North Market St., Frederick, MD 21701
• Wednesday, 12/9/26: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Thursday, 12/10/26: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Friday, 12/11/26: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

IMPORTANT RACE DAY NOTES:

• You may pick up someone else’s packet
• Virtual runners must also pick up shirts and finisher medals
• Packets will be held for one week after the race at the Downtown YMCA

VIRTUAL RACE SHIPPING:

• Virtual participants living more than 50 miles from Frederick, MD may choose to have their packet mailed for a $15 fee
• Please do not select shipping if you live within 50 miles
• All mailed packets will be shipped after race day 
• All in person participants must pick up their packet, we will not ship packets for in person participants 

BIB INFORMATION:

• Please pin all four corners of your bib to the outside of your apparel
• Do not wear bib upside down
• Improper placement may prevent timing chip detection
• One Mile Elf Run participants do not receive bibs

VIRTUAL RUNNERS:

• Access your digital bib via the “Manage Registration” link in your confirmation email
• You will be asked to download the "Racejoy" app 
• Race will then be active from Friday 12/11 at 9am until Sunday 12/13 at 9pm for you to complete 
• You may submit treadmill or manual results through the results page 

RACE COURSES:

5K Course:

1. Starts at Monocacy Village Park
2. Out and back on Shifferstadt Blvd.
3. Two U-turns before returning to the park

10K Course:

• Two laps of the 5K course
• Turnaround located near the start/finish inside the park

1 Mile Elf Run:

• Out-and-back route from the park to Mohican Drive 

PARKING:

• Please respect all public and private property.
• Available Parking:
• YMCA parking lot (short walk across East Street)
• Delaware Road (between park entrance and East Street)
• Roads parallel to East Street and railroad tracks
• In front of shopping center retail stores  (Dollar General, Oscars, Salvation Army, etc.) 
• 🚫 No Parking available at Monocacy Village Park parking lot (reserved for staff, volunteers, porta-potties)

RACE SHIRTS: 👕

• Shirts available for ages 5 and up
• Shirt sizes guaranteed for registrations received by October 31, 2026
• After that date, sizes are first-come, first-serve 
• Ages 1–4 receive a race cinch bag or equivalent item instead of a shirt
• Shirts cannot be exchanged for different sizes! 

FINISHER MEDALS:🏅

• All participants (in-person and virtual) receive a finisher medal
• Medals double as a holiday ornament

AWARDS: 🎉 (IN-PERSON ONLY)

• Overall male and female winners for the 5K and 10K
• Awards announced at the pavilion around 10:30 AM
• 🏆 Best Holiday Costume Award
