La Sportiva Jackal II BOA #running #lasportiva

There are many things I like about La Sportiva shoes, and specifically the Jackal II BOA. This shoe feels quite minimal, even though it doesn’t look it. The shoe has nice underfoot protection, the grip is good, and it doesn’t compromise on ground feel as a result of a rock-plate. I wouldn’t say it’s a fun shoe, more a shoe that functions really well. It’s the sort of shoe I’d pick for a race rather than a training run, as it’s not tiring to wear. The ankle bootie also removes the need for a gaiter, which again, is something I’m more likely to use in a long ultra than a training run. On the flip side... I wish La Sportiva made nicer looking shoes. Their choice of colours and patterns have always been rubbish. Has there even been a good looking La Sportiva shoe?
