The Most Surreal Ultramarathon in the World - Burning Man 50Km - Naked Racing? Sure!

It is a commitment to head out to the remote Black Rock Desert in Nevada for a solid week with EVERYTHING you need to survive. It is a bigger commitment to throw in a wild ultramarathon into the equation in the dry, harsh climate. The event of Burning Man creates the third largest city in Nevada (behind Reno and Las Vegas) in the middle of a brutal dry lake bed with NO facilities at all. It is the perfect place to stage what is perhaps the most unique ultra of all. There were 135 odd souls who jumped into the fray - some dressed in taco costumes - some with no dress at all! Amazing support out on the playa, too. Thanks to Cherry Bomb for making it happen. This is a great 'first' ultra for lunatics, because this it truly like running on the moon.
