This is one of the lightest shoes I’ve ever tested, and it’s my intro to the Anta brand. The shoe is really aggressive. I’m not sure what the foam is (Anta calls it Nitro Technology Pro). And while it’s very fast, it is certainly not soft. It’s listed as a 4mm drop (33/29), but it feels like the angle is much more sharp. The crystal rubber on the outsole is gorgeous and the upper gives a premium race day feel. But with that sharp angle of attack, the upper may need a bit more reinforcement to keep the foot in place.

I took the shoe out for a moderate fartlek, and I had to hold myself back to stay within desired pace ranges. The shoe really encourages quick turnover. But overall this shoe felt hard on the body. It doesn’t have that easy-on-the-body super shoe feeling to it. The following day, my body felt like it had done a hard track workout in spikes

Runners who enjoy On Cloudboom Echo 3 or Brooks Hyperion Elite 4 should look at this shoe.
