Many #runners don’t have their #Zone2 set up correctly. The reality is that if you’re not a sub 3-hour marathoner (yet) and/or you’re an #ultrarunner …then you’re probably racing most of your marathon or ultra in your zone 2. So yes, it can certainly be a higher end aerobic intensity than most people realize…and can have a bigger range on your “easy days” and aerobic base building training. It’s why our @higherrunning training plans and coaches adhere to many zone 2 mileage days while strategically mixing in higher intensity like zone 3 (“sub threshold” Or LT1 or “Aerobic threshold”) as most runners can only hold true zone 3 for up to 3-hours in an all-out race. Did you get your zone 2 correct? 🙌 🎥: @stephengnoza when I was racing in Zone 2 during the Black Canyon 100km ultra.
