Lake Powell 2018

Lake Powell might just be my favorite place on earth. I made a last second decision to ditch school for 2 days and head out for a weekend with the family and our good friends. I definitely had to think long and hard about that one! I ran every day in the heat by driving an hour to the marina. It was brutal, but well worth it. Being a runner requires judging the fine line between hard work and having fun. It is crucial to being a better runner that you don't take yourself too seriously. Work your butt off, but enjoy the process. Recognize that you're still in high school and is not the most important thing in the world. Relaxing a little bit actually makes you race better!
