Same platform, same price, two very different rides. Here's what changed underfoot between the Brooks Hyperion Elite 6 and the Hyperion Elite 5. Both run on DNA Gold, but the 6 switches to a nitrogen-infused version of the foam, and that change does real work. Where the 5's softer midsole asked for more push and energy output from the runner, the 6 gives more back. Alex's read: efficiency through the roof. Geometry is the other half of it. The 5 could feel flat underfoot, not the shape he'd choose to race in. The 6 runs an aggressive forefoot balanced out by a smooth heel landing and transition, with the drop dropping from 8mm to 7mm and a millimetre more forefoot stack. Same weight class, same €275, but the 6 is doing considerably more with it.
