The Metaspeed’s little brother? For a decent price these shoes can handle a lot of the same purposes as it’s super shoe relative.
-Upper: 🟡
—A little too roomy when going fast around corners, but great for long runs and comfortable overall.
-Midsole: 🟡
—Not as bouncy as Novablast or energetic as FlyteFoam Turbo
—A bit firm in heel
—Plate and FF Blast+ feel nice and responsive when picking up the pace
-Outsole: 🟢
—Grips great on road
—Great durability so far
-Run Types:
Speed Day: 🟢
Everyday: 🟡
Long Run Day: 🟡
Recovery Day: 🔴
-Conclusion: 🟡
—The Magic Speed 2 is a great uptempo trainer that can be a companion to your race day super shoe, or could even be a budget race day option.
—To take this shoe to the next level, making it full FF Blast+, or adding some FF Turbo in there would make it even better.
Note: These shoes were provided for review by ASICS, but all thoughts are my own
