The 2025 BOLDERBoulder, a renowned 10-kilometer road race, took place on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, 2025, in Boulder, Colorado, marking its 45th annual event. Known as one of the largest and most iconic 10K races in the United States, it attracted over 50,000 runners, walkers, and wheelchair racers from all 50 states and numerous countries, solidifying its status as the fourth-largest running event in the country, according to Running USA. The race began at 30th and Walnut streets, winding through Boulder’s scenic neighborhoods and downtown, before finishing inside the University of Colorado’s Folsom Field, where tens of thousands of spectators cheered participants on. The event kicked off with the Professional Wheelchair Race at 6:45 a.m., followed by the “A” wave at 6:50 a.m., with subsequent waves launching until approximately 9:25 a.m. A highlight of the day was the Memorial Day Tribute at noon, featuring a flyover by F-16s from the Colorado Air National Guard, skydivers, and a ceremony honoring military service members who gave their lives. The course, over a mile above sea level, offered live music, dancers, and entertainment at every turn, creating a festive atmosphere. Participants received official BOLDERBoulder race gear, RFID timing with mile splits, and a finisher bag with food, drinks, and sponsor samples, including Pepsi and Avery Beer for those 21 and older. Packet pickup was available at the Sports Exhibit on the 1300 block of Pearl Street, and a Mobile Locker service allowed gear drop-off for $5 pre-race or $10 on race day. The event, locally owned and operated since its founding in 1979, also included the International Pro Team Challenge, showcasing elite runners, and was praised for its community spirit, with spectators hosting parties and offering support along the route.
