Running Injury Training
Getting injured is unfortunately just a part of running. The best athletes don't rely on the best circumstances to perform well. The best athletes are experts at performing no matter what is thrown their way. Everyone has bumps in the road when it comes to running. Some make excuses and some use the challenge to grow. Cross training well is a critical part of being a good runner when injured. I have been injured for at least some period of time in every season. However, by biking, swimming and a lot of water running I have kept in great shape and been able to perform well. The hardest part is staying motivated to do it. A couple tips on how to overcome this. 1. Find someone (coach) to keep you accountable. 2. Make a cross training schedule and stick to it. 3. Plan small surges in your cross training to keep it fun and hard . Thanks for watching! I hope this helps you all with your training and injuries.
